For the entire weekend, my time was 100% dedicated to chasing Hong Kong drama. Had a 24 hours marathon watching - When A Dog Loves A Cat. It's a 20-episode (45mins each) long series which stars Gallen Lo and Myolie Wu. Basically, its a romance story of a man and woman + Xiao Ba (a mongrel) and Can Can (a cat). It also gives an insight into the crazy world of rich dog owners i.e. dog marriages, which amazes me even though I'm a dog lover.

This drama has triggered a full range of emotions concerning the ethical approaches to dealing with stray. It's trying to convey the message whereby once you become the animal's owner, one is bounded by the responsibilities to our pets for life.We should always love and care for them. Abandon dogs that are not adopted will only be killed due to the lack of space, money, and proper medical treatment needed to keep them alive. So I sincerely urges one to considers these options before getting a pet:

Research on the animal beforehand to be sure of compatibility with lifestyle
Consider adoption from a local shelter rather than purchase from a pet store
Bring pets to the veterinarian for regular check-ups and immunizations
Please DO NOT ABANDON your pet. Your pet has only you.

Another message that the drama is trying to bring across is that life is fragile and filled with unexpected surprises. One should always treasure their love ones and not regret it when they are gone.

Basically I will say that it's a meaningful drama (prepare tissues when watching the last 2 episodes) although the script and the acting skills are lacking.
