Finally at Roma The night before, we were trying to draw out some pounds to change for Euros to use in our trip to Rome. What we didn't expect was that in UK, one can only cash out a maximum of GBP 300 at ATMs. Argh.. tough luck! Therefore, we got up early in the morning at 8am and hurry ourselves to the money changer at Central Station to get ourselves more Euros. After buying some sandwiches from Greggs to eat on Ryanair (cuz its a no meal provided plane), we went to Buchanan Bus Station to take X77 to Glasgow Prestwick Airport. The entire flight was ok until the landing... The pilot nearly crush the plane tip into the ground while landing. He braked so hard that we all jerked forward from our seats. SCARY! Nevertheless, we finally reach Rome (Italian: Roma)! It is the capital city of Italy, as well as the country's largest and most populous comune, with more than 2.7 million residents. An enclave of Rome is the State of the Vatican City (Whoohooo), the sovereign territory of the Holy See. It is the smallest nation in the world, and the capital of the only religion to have representation in the United Nations. Its one of the definate 'must' see in our journey. As we reached Rome at 10+pm, there's no where to go other than to checked in at Pop Inn Hostel and get ourselves some dinner from the nearby Pizzaria. Yummy pizza haha.. But the hostel isn't too great. The shared toilet's flush is spoilt, no hot water for bathing, room heater is not working which freezes us while sleeping and the bedroom smells... We even heard that our neighbour got electricuted by the wall socket! To think it got ranked no. 2 hostel in Rome. Arrival at Pop Inn's lift Up we go Down the hallway to reception Laze around area =P
Damus's shot of the lightings again haha The view from our room's window
