Day Trip to Culzean Castle

Had a day trip to Culzean castle with the welcome programme from school. Its the first castle Damus ever went to (sua ku haha). The castle is pretty. A short brief on its history (taken from the brochure): Culzean was given to the National Trust for Scotland by the fifth Marquess of Ailsa and the Kennedy family. The spectacular eighteen century clifftop Castle designed by Robert Adam has been restored as closely as possible to the original design. The Oval Staircase and Cicular Saloon were his final masterpiece, and the armoury contains a spectacular collection of weapons (its maginficant but we couldn't take pics of tt *sad*) Permissions on phototaking are only given on the exterior of the Castle.

Walled Garden

The Walled Garden, featuring a colourful herbaceous boder, kitchen garden and pleasure garden, with a restored Victorian vinery, thatched summer-house and a grotto.
